Pezo Import has visited the families members of the Cooperative Aprocanorsi in northern Peru. We learn about they daily work at the coffee plantations as well as they needs and aspirations.
In this video, you can accompany Pezo Import on a visit to the Rio Negro Cooperative in Satipo en the Junín region in Peruvian Amazonia. John Alex Canari Contreras, the cooperatives agricultural engineer who talks about his work to help the 320 farmer members to improve their coffee crop and get the best possible harvest. You hear coffee farmer Don Rigoberto talk about why he dreams about getting the opportunity to sell his harvest internationally, and how proud he is of his the types of Arabica coffee he cultivates; Bourbon and Caturra. You also meet a few members of the Concohomani Cano Women’s group, a collaboration between 40 single mothers, who support each other in their coffee plantations to create a better future for their children: With the better price they get for their Fair Trade coffee, they want to expand their plantations to be able to grow more coffee and make enough money to provide their children with better education and thus a brighter future.
